About
Hi, I’m Kim Gandier, founder of Life Chapters.
I’ve spent my career helping people communicate ideas, experiences, and emotions through thoughtful storytelling. As a communications professional with a Master’s degree in Communications, I’ve learned that the stories people remember most aren’t always the biggest moments—they’re the personal ones that reveal who we are and what shaped us.
But the inspiration for Life Chapters didn’t come from my career.
It came from my own life.
Both of my parents have passed away, and over the years I’ve realized there are so many stories I never asked them to tell. The everyday memories. The moments that shaped them. The details behind the family stories I thought I already knew.
Like many people, I assumed there would always be more time.
There wasn’t.
Today, there are questions I’ll never have the chance to ask and stories I’ll never hear in their own words. While I treasure the memories I do have, I wish I had captured more of their stories before they were gone.
That realization became the heart of Life Chapters.
I don’t want other families to experience the same regret.
More Than a Story
Life Chapters was created to help people preserve the memories, lessons, humour, resilience, and life experiences that often disappear quietly over time.
Not because they aren’t important—but because life gets busy, conversations stay on the surface, or we simply don’t know what questions to ask.
Through thoughtful conversation and professional writing, I help uncover the stories that families will one day be grateful they took the time to preserve.
A Human Approach
What makes Life Chapters different is the conversation.
I don’t believe the most meaningful stories usually emerge from answering a list of questions or speaking into an app.
They emerge when someone is truly listening.
Often, all people need is time, thoughtful guidance, genuine curiosity, and a comfortable space to reflect.
That’s when the stories begin to unfold naturally.
My role isn’t to rewrite someone’s life or create a polished version of who they are.
It’s to listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and preserve their story in a way that feels honest, authentic, and true to their voice.
Why It Matters
Every family has stories that deserve to be remembered.
Not because someone was famous.
Not because they accomplished extraordinary things.
But because they mattered to the people who loved them.
Years from now, a Life Chapters keepsake won’t simply remind someone what happened.
It will remind them who someone was.
And sometimes, that’s the greatest gift we can leave behind.
Thank you for considering Life Chapters.
It would be an honour to help preserve your story.
